NoDa started it, South End turned it into a Saturday, and Camp North End keeps it weird.

Charlotte's brewery scene has a geography as much as a flavor profile. NoDa — the old mill village north of Uptown — is where it started, with taprooms filling buildings the textile mills left behind. South End turned the idea into a Saturday-afternoon institution by lining the Rail Trail with patios. Camp North End, a former Ford plant and missile depot, is the newest and strangest room to drink a beer in.

Can I bring kids and dogs to Charlotte breweries?

Usually yes to both - Charlotte's taprooms grew up as neighborhood living rooms, and most welcome kids until evening and dogs on the patio. Every brewery sets its own rules, so check the door or their site, especially after 8pm.
