Park in the gravel lot next to the Foundation Office at 260 Ridgewood Ave — accessible parking is in front of the office — then check in at the Clarkson House at 248 Ridgewood.

The take

A garden built for the birds first and visitors second, which is why it stays hushed — let the place set the pace. Open Wednesday through Saturday only, and worth arranging the week around.

Are dogs allowed?

No — pets are not permitted at Wing Haven, though properly identified service animals are welcome.

Can I bring a picnic?

Yes — outside food in sealed containers, eaten at the picnic tables in the Children's Garden or under the pergola in the Main Garden.

Where do I park?

The gravel lot at the Foundation Office, 260 Ridgewood Avenue, or on the Wing Haven side of Ridgewood if that is full. Accessible parking is in front of the Foundation Office.
