1. 1917

   In 1917 landscape architect Earle Sumner Draper, who had been John Nolen's on-site field supervisor since 1915, took over design of Myers Park, softening Nolen's street curves and adding a second entrance at East Boulevard.

2. 1920

   In the 1920s, before houses were built along it, at least seven rows of willow oaks and water oaks were planted along Earle Draper's Queens Road West — one row in the median, one between each sidewalk and street, and two in each future front yard.

3. 1922

   George Stephens resigned from active management of the Stephens Company in 1922 and moved to Asheville, after which new management showed less interest in Nolen's and Draper's planning principles and Draper's involvement in Myers Park ended.
