The take

The lineage is genuinely Hanoverian — the parent brand goes back centuries, and the brewhouse itself came over from Germany — so this isn't theme-park Bavaria. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays, and it's a short walk from the Scaleybark stop.

What to order: Start with their German Pilsener — it's the house flagship, and they run $3 Pils Wednesdays on the cans.
