The take

Songwriters most nights of the week, in a space small enough that the audience actually listens. Book nothing else afterward — sets here tend to be the whole night.

Questions people ask

Do I need ID to get in?

Yes — every guest needs a valid state-issued ID whatever their age, unless they are a minor with a parent or guardian.

Will I get a seat?

It depends on the show: some are seated, occasionally with reserved seats, some are standing only, and otherwise seating is first come, first served with nothing guaranteed.

Where do I park?

There is no venue parking, but paid lots sit nearby — the Mercury garage at $12–25, a Yadkin Avenue lot at $11–15, and a Davidson Street lot at $10–14.

Should I buy tickets in advance?

Yes — the Muse recommends it to guarantee entry, and says plainly that once a show sells out there is nothing they can do at the door.
