The take

Half brewhouse, half wine shop, with The Exchange Pizza Depot working the patio — an unusually complete night out for downtown Matthews. The five-barrel system in back makes it the only beer actually made in town.

What to order: Start with the Silver Meteor, their West Coast IPA — the trainyard-named house pour that anchors the tap list.
