One beat of its history
The proposed LYNX Silver Line, a 29-mile east-west light rail corridor connecting Belmont, Matthews, Stallings and Indian Trail to Uptown Charlotte and Charlotte Douglas International Airport via 30 stations, was unified from two previously separate corridor projects (Southeast and West) by the Metropolitan Transit Commission in 2019; as of the mid-2020s its tentative opening date is projected for 2037.
